This olive oil of superior quality is extracted in the mill of Herdade dos Coteis (Portuguese), situated in the heart of Baixo Alentejo, revealing the excellent characteristics of the olive varieties grown in its groves. The velvety softness of the Galician variety and the fine qualities of the Verdeal and Cordovil varieties blend together in an exceptional harmony. This unique olive oil adds to the prestigious line of carefully selected traditional Alentejo products produced at Herdade dos Coteis."
Tasting Notes: Greenish yellow colour, with aromas of fresh cut leaves and grass. It presents an intense fresh fruit flavour, with some notes of almond and ends with a slight bitter & spicy finish that is characteristic of a top quality extra virgin olive oil. Olive Varietal: Cordovil (60%), Galega (30%), Verdeal (10%) Processed naturally by cold pressing within a few hours after harvest.
About the Brand: Located on the Left Bank of the Guadiana, 6 km from Moura, this farm founded by the Venncio family has 300 hectares of olive groves, 23 hectares of vineyards and the sheep that give rise to the best quality raw materials for the manufacture of the much appreciated cheese cultures, the famous wine of "Regional Alentejo" and the well-known virgin olive oil with the denomination of origin "Azeite de Moura", all of them presented with the same brand: "Herdade dos Coteis".
