Frozen Oxtail, cut 50mm End To End - 1kg pack
Formerly, it referred only to the tail of an ox or steer, a bullock (a castrated male). An Oxtail typically weighs 1–1.8 kg (2 to 4 lbs) and is skinned and cut into short lengths for sale. Oxtail is a bony, gelatin-rich meat, which is usually slow-cooked as a stew or braised. It is a traditional stock base for a soup.
Oxtail is one of the most underestimated culinarian products. Not only it's great for making bone broth, but it's perfect when slowly cooked.
