Sourdough is a stable culture of lactic acid bacteria and yeast in a mixture of flour and water. Broadly speaking, the yeast produces gas (carbon dioxide) which leavens the dough, and the lactic acid bacteria produce lactic acid, which contributes flavour in the form of sourness.

Sourdough is more digestible than standard loaves and more nutritious too. Lactic acids make the vitamins and minerals in the flour more available to the body by helping neutralise the phytates in flour that would interfere with their absorption.

Ingredients: WHEAT flour T65(45%), water, sourdough (18%) [WHEAT flour (12%), water, salt, dehydrated sourdough (0,8%) (WHEAT germ, WHEAT flour), olive oil, WHEAT GLUTEN, yeast.
May contain traces of sesame seeds, soybeans and nuts.

Place the product on the tray, allow to thaw for 50-60 minutes at room temperature. Bake the product for 10-14 minutes at 200°C. (The times and temperatures are purely indicative, depending on the characteristics of each oven).

Store at -18°C to -25°C. Once the defrosting process has started, do not re-freeze. Consume after preparation.
